I received my 45 Drives packages tonight (5:30 PM Chicago time).
I will be spending a good portion of my evening/night mounting the unit into my server rack, checking all the parts & accessories, backup the boot drive, then booting the unit up.
No update for me either. Hard to believe last Production Update saying all orders will be in production early this week, the early is usually Monday-Tuesday and did not happened.
One issue I have is not necessarily the backlog, but that payment was taken at the time of the order. If units are backordered for months, payments should not be debited until the order goes to production.
Yeah I have had no update either, I get an email from Protocase almost every day or two about how if you order today you can have it by thanksgiving. I find it kind of hard to believe that when I ordered within 24 hours of the orders opening, that they are still backlogged of orders from before me. I would appreciate if they sent more emails regarding their production. I even had the priority production from prepaying the 100$ but I can’t tell if that’s really doing anything.
We have been reading the recent posts in this thread. We hear you and we are aware that production of the HL15 has been slower than we anticipated to fully roll out. We know we sound like a broken record when we say that we have been overwhelmed by the demand for the HL15, but that really is the truth.
We have ramped up production and our production team is working really hard to make sure your order gets to you in a timely manner. Because of their hard work, we will be able to provide emails to everyone with an update of your estimated ship date by the end of day tomorrow.
This community has shown us so much love and support, and we thank you for it. We are so excited to see what you will achieve with your HL15.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to email me at info@45homelab.com
I got my “in production” notice on the 7th, but no guidance or anything else heard yet. I was assuming 2 weeks from that notice rather than 2 weeks from order date.( Fri 13 OCT, full build order 2023514765)
In case it could be faster, I would totally agree to received my Full Build not assembled, I mean, the chassis with backplane cabling (like the kit sold chassis + backplane) with all rest in their respective boxes (Motherboard, CPU, RAM, PSU) to assemble myself.
Got my shipping notification at 10AM this morning and nine minutes later FedEx was in front of the business I work for delivering it. It apparently got shipped to my billing PO Box instead of my workplace address I had put in the order. Not a big deal since it worked out, PO workers know where I work and gave FedEx the address. Now I get to spend Saturday at the office assembling everything and testing it before taking it home. Can’t wait!
My order number ends in 14771 for anyone using them as a rough gauge for how far into the queue 45HomeLab is into the production/shipping queue.
One of mine is supposed to ship this week and was in the 1476x range of orders.
Vikram also sent notes saying my 1492x order is theoretically shipping around November 27th and the 1530x order is slated for December 18th.
Assuming these are incrementing numbers with mostly one chassis per order, I guess 45HomeLab might have sold 1000+ of these since launch, based on the range of order numbers I’ve seen around the internet? Assuming that’s true — huge congratulations to the 45HomeLab team — what an awesome start.
Did the e-mail about updates go out? @Vikram-45HomeLab I didn’t get any email regarding status.
I do get email updates in forum replies…hmmm
