3-D printed 45 drives SSD caddy

I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if the part is just designed this way, but I printed two SSD caddies and noticed each one only has two screw holes for mounting the SSD. When I attach an SSD, it sits crooked.

Is this an issue with my print, or is it a design flaw in the caddy?

I’ve tried mounting the SSD both ways (facedown to line up the connector), but I still can’t get it to connect properly to a slot in my HL15.

Has anyone here installed these caddies before and can point me in the right direction?

Update: Turns out I had the SSD upside down. Once I flipped it, everything lined up fine and it slid right in. Leaving this here in case someone else runs into the same “crooked SSD” problem.

Wait, you mean to say those images on the Printables page wasn’t just people trying to show-off their brands/capacities? Crazy!

Yep, lesson learned. Turns out those Printables pics weren’t drive centerfolds, they were actual instructions in disguise. Guess I was too busy admiring the branding to notice the orientation.

Next time I’ll know: if it looks dumb but it works, it’s not dumb. Thanks for the laugh — and hey, @Akshunhiro, if you already knew that, you must have spent way too much time staring at other people’s SSDs.
