We’ve received multiple requests for an extended version of the HL15—one that can accommodate a full-sized GPU and provide increased power for more intensive workloads.
So, we thought it’s time to ask you directly! Would this be something you’d be interested in for your HomeLab setup?
Yes, absolutely!
No, I prefer the original.

Your feedback means everything to us, and it helps shape future products. Let us know your thoughts, ideas, and any must-have features you’d like to see in an extended version of the HL15.
I’d be interested in having this option available for a possible future Epyc CPU build for which a lot of the boards seem to be larger than ATX. However, having already purchased an HL15, and being a home user, budget is limited, so I likely wouldn’t be placing a Day 1 order. I’d just be a potential buyer a few years from now.
In one sense, with the Pro line, this might be a better fit there given SMB budgets. But, AFAIK, Pro and Enterprise don’t make chassis-only options publicly available.
I definitely think 45Drives needs to offer this somewhere in their lineup, since the stretch Q30 @Hutch-45Drives mentioned in one post seems to be a myth or a one-off for some client. If 45HL is the only product line that will easily offer chassis-only then this would be the place.
I could be corrected, but I believe people are mainly interested in this for custom builds, not necessarily as “I want the HL15 with the X11SPH, but want to put a 4090 in it”. I mean, you can offer a full build, but I think most of the asks have been in regards to custom builds.
I would like an extended edition for Threadripper support as well, since all those boards appear to be EATX, epyc most Supermicro and ASROCK Rack boards for epyc are ATX or smaller, but Epyc lacks clocks for some of my required workloads.
I REALLY wish there was a homelab version of the Q30, especially with larger motherboard chamber. I did a quote for a normal one, and the price:bays on enterprise line was…something.
@Vikram-45HomeLabs I am of the same opinion as David on this point. I have to imagine most individuals interested in an extended HL15 want it for a custom build. In addition to space for larger GPU’s, I think mounts for larger E-ATX motherboards would also be highly desired.
