Wanted, Zpool Usage Pie Chart tool

I’m partial to graphs. One of the things I do daily is to look in on the various disk backups to ensure that they are happening and that I’ve not configured one to eat a disk. In the MacOS world, there is the well known DaisyDisk that renders the output of du? as a pie chart. Disk Usage Analyzer utility does the same on Linux systems. I’m not aware of a counterpart for ZFS pools. One would be a nice addition to Cockpit.

DaisyDIsk is my go to tool to clean up MacOS disks. The UI lets you mark files for deletion. When everything is marked, it can batch delete the files in the hit list.

There is an application called Netdata that can be installed on linux systems directly or via a container. It presents a lot of system information graphically in a browser, including about ZFS. They also push a cloud service, but you don’t have to use it in the cloud. It’s available as an app in TrueNAS.

I’m traveling and just on my phone, so can’t provide great links, but you can maybe look for some YouTube videos on it from Lawrence Systems and others to see if it might be worth trying and see if it would fit your use case.

Thanks for the recommendation, Matt.
Netdata is in the Rocky8 repository.
And yep, they’re oriented toward fleet monitoring as a service.
They show disk usage by ZFS file systems. Not quite disk usage analyzer.
Plus the show a lot of additional stuff.
Have it up and letting it cook to see if they do something silly.
