Ubuntu upgrade HL-15

If I am running Ubuntu 20.04 and I run do-release-upgrade will it mess up my server?

There’s a chance that it will but myself and others have been able to get Houston working on clean install of 22.04. It should be possible to upgrade. I’m just unsure if you’ll have to do anything on the other side.

Make sure you have a good working backup before trying. Also pay close attention to the pre-upgrade information. Ubuntu is really good about telling you what’s installing and, more importantly, what’s being removed before committing to the changes.

I have it setup and all my vm’s are going to it. I don’t want to start from fresh, but if I have to then I might as well install truenas and not worry about it.

We’re pleased to share that we’ve released our Enterprise Repository for Ubuntu 22, which includes all the packages required to run Houston seamlessly on Ubuntu 22.

To enable the repository, please run the following command once on your Ubuntu 22 system:

curl -sSL https://repo.45drives.com/setup | sudo bash

Additionally, we’ve created a preconfiguration script designed for our enterprise environment. This script installs essential tools—including ZFS—to help set up your server efficiently:
