Have mine ordered (Order # 2025564538) and definitely excited to set this new server up.
Can you list some compatible GPUs that will fit without any special modifications? I understand the max GPU length is 10.25" but do you happen to have a list of compatible GPUs? I’d be interested in both a high end and maybe a “medium” end GPU that can be passed through to a VM via ProMox.

On PC Part Picker you can filter by GPU length and other parameters (eg, do they have a price available–indicative of availability new vs used).

I used 266 mm for the filter above, but all the filters are down the left, so you can back it off to 260mm if you want to and drill into other factors (price, manufacturer, VRAM as one way to eliminate low end, etc) based on your preferences. I’m not sure 45HL has published an exact GPU length. It depends, among other things on whether the power for the card goes in to the top or the back. The 260 mm (or whatever) would include space available for power cables that come out the back, but there’s not a filter for that, so there may be cards on that list that wouldn’t fit without 180-degree power adapters or such. Note that the top motherboard PCIe slot lines up with a gap between the fans, so some people have been able to slot in cards with end-connected power and slip the cables between the fans.
I haven’t revisited the whole list, but I think the highest end cards are going to be around page 16 or 17 the way I sorted it, an RTX 5070 or 4070 Ti Super 16 GB. The question is then drilling into price/performance. You might be able to get a card with 2/3 the performance at half the price, especially if you bring AMD into consideration. I’ve used Passmark for relative performance, but you could use what Gamers Nexus or Hardware Unboxed publish.
Personally, I bought a 4070 Ti Super 2x fan version when they first came out.
