Stupid question, but is there a downloadable manual available for the HL-8? Something similar to what is included in a PC case. I’ve looked on this site and just can’t find anything.
I don’t know what is included in paper form in the HL8 box, but at the bottom of this page is a download link to a manual;

Did you get a “Congratulations on becoming an owner of an HL8!” sheet with your system? There’s a QR code that takes you to a Getting Started Page that included the manual David linked to. It also has the Rocky Linux default username and password on it. This should have been included. If it wasn’t, it would be good just to let info@45homelab.com know.

I’ve ordered the HL8, but haven’t received it yet. Was going to look through and see what additional hardware I’ll need (i.e., fan sizes). I only ordered the case and backplane.

Ah ok makes sense now. The case and backplane version will also include the three Noctua Fans (2x120mm and 1x40mm). If you need to bounce some ideas around with people after you check out the documentation, feel free to start a new thread on the forums. I know a few of us here will be more than willing to offer thoughts and advice.
