We are currently working on revising the rack ears. We have a prototype being created and once we verify it will work we will send it out to whoever is having alignment issues.
This new design will have a left and a right ear for the server. So we will no longer have a uniform design.
We were just about to put our order in until we saw this thread. Could I please ask for some clarity on the situation for new orders. Will all new orders be held until the rack ear issue is resolved? or do you have to risk it and chase replacements upon arrival?
We’re on the other side of the world (Australia)… so obviously a little further away than most.
HI @Nedmac, No no orders will be held back because of this.
If you order an HL15 and it is shipped out before the rack ears issue has been resolved then simply reach out and once we have the proper design finalized we will be more than happy to send you replacement ears for your HL15.
The rack ears just screw into the side of the system so they can be changed without unracking the server you would just need to slide it out enough to get to the screws to change them.
