PSU Compatibility question - Corsair HX1200i

Hi,

I am considering the Corsair HX1200i - an ATX 3.1 & PCIe 5.1 certified PSU for my build.

This PSU is specced up to 25A on the 5V rail, which should allow a bit more flexibility and capacity as I intend to include some SATA SSDs in my build using the 3d printed carrier.

Looking at photos from some builds the space between the RM750e and the board providing power to the backplace seems to be limited. From what I can find in reviews of the HX1200i, it is approx 6cm longer (200mm Depth) than the RM750e (140mm Depth). I wanted to check if there is adequate space for this PSU and cables to fit if someone has the ability to measure the clearance?

I appreciate the advice is that any modular Corsair PSU should fit, but I thought best to check and I am guessing the answer could also be of interest to others.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards

Nominally there is 200mm, but that doesn’t account for any cables and connectors of either the PSU or PDB. You’ll have a hard time using the row of SATA/PCI ports on the PSU furthest from the fan.

There are some other PSUs you might consider listed in that thread.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. I will review the information provided and take it from there! Much appreciated.
