One thing people keep asking for is a dust filter solution. I did like @poweredbyporkers and used one of the magnetic 360mm filters, but because there is extra spacing between the front fans, these are a bit too small and cut off some airflow at the ends.

A properly sized and colored magnetic filter for the front of the unit would be one idea. Something that matches the white and black choices, with and without the light blue graphics, and similarly for whatever new Ubiquity inspired design, although if that one is aluminum it probably can’t be magnetic. You might consider rounder corners to avoid the thumbscrews.

Speaking of thumbscrews, I’ve taken to securing my HL15s in the rack with a coulple of them;

It makes it easier to secure/unsecure the unit than phillips head rack screws if you aren’t using rack studs. One thing is the tops of the ones I could find aren’t as deep as the thumbscrews on the HL15. For swag you could offer a packet of thumbscrews similar to the ones used for securing the lid, a bit wider in diameter and maybe with a “45” on them or something, M6x16 worked for my rack, but I think some raclks are M5.
You’d want to match the black and white. Bonus points if they could be captive like the ones for the lid, but that may be hard with the U opening on the rack ears…

There are a few items I would like to see in the store.
Fan filters
X11SPH-nCTPF motherboards
Q30 server case (should be a low effort to put home-lab branding on an existing case.)

Yeah they’re about 1.5mm shy on both ends, doesn’t really matter too much for my usage as the drives are nice and cool but it does niggle at me!

I also got a three pack of 120mm ones but they irritate me even more as you have to fiddle with them to get them in line and it’s never right, then you brush against the case and they move, so they went in the bin …

As far as swag, I’d love to see 2 types of hats Snapbacks and Flexfit maybe adding more colorways… I prefer the Flexfit and not a baby blue wearer.

I know there is likely going to be black fans soon for the Noctua kits, but still going to list that.

I know this was asked for a while ago, but would be nice to have parts like backplane offered, or an alternative cage with SSD and HDD like what is in the F8X1. I love that the HL15 is built in a way it could offer MANY configurations with a few parts swapped, and if I remember from prerelease, this was actually supposed to happen, but alas I havent seen anything other than custom faces added.

For filters, I used PVC filter at first, like these

But I may go with this style, and type bolting it between the fan and face (backside of face), just vacuum it clean as the edges break the aesthetic of the face.

So maybe a built specific for HL15 filter option would be worth looking into since you could maybe shape/size it around the lid thumbscrews, etc.

But since @jrhenderson brought up the Q30, i been begging for a Q30 version. I also would have loved something in 2U-3U for computer servers. The original Workstation design was also would have been great as it was a form factor not normally offered. The HL4 and HL8 fit the QNAP/Synology market perfectly. But most if not all, homelabbers i know have racks so front load homelab versions of the Mi4 and C8. I imagine alot of this is concerns of having enterprise customers buying homelab items which appear to be more value priced than their enterprise counterparts.
