Just received my HL15 and I am looking at the motherboard mounting positions there are lot more screw posts than female to female mounts provided.
The screws and female to female mounts are just loose in the large box and I have to say this is a really disappointing start.
Does anyone know how many parts I should have gotten ?
looks like my project is stuck - I am going to use a full sized ATX motherboard and I am not in love with just random mounts not being used and then others with screw posts just millimeters away from the PCB of the motherboard.
what the heck…
If you haven’t already started your build, taking a picture of what you received and how you received it and sending it to info@45homelab.com would be a good idea for direct support.
The screws, standoffs and feet should have all been in a little blue bag with a label on it describing the different items and quantities. An ATX board has 9 or 10 screw locations so you should have received 9 or 10 standoffs. Since the screw locations can be different for some mini-ITX and micro-ATX boards, there will be some standoff locations in the case you don’t use, and you wouldn’t want to put standoffs on if there’s no screw hole in your motherboard there. I haven’t seen anyone have problems with shorts from the screw nubs for the standoffs. If you are concerned with that, you can cover the nubs you aren’t going to use with a piece of electrical tape.

Thanks, the blue bag had no bottom after going back to the large box I found some of the female to female stand-offs.
the decision to hard weld screw mounts is an odd one to me - I feel like I missed this in all the hoopla youtube creators builds videos…
I am short a few screws and female to female stand-offs - I will see what I can identify and see what I can replace.
considering the amount of time it took for this to be “built” - I am a bit surprised and rather intrigued how a bag with a hole in it is used to deliver these items.
The zip ties stayed in, some of the screws, none of the stand-offs…
lol - neat experience so far.
If you send the support email a note I’m pretty sure they’ll send you a replacement bag at no cost. It might take a bit longer than usual given the holidays, but usually fairly quickly. The female-female standoffs are probably a bit hard to source on your own.

I can attest that @Vikram-45HomeLabs will get you taken care. I went back and forth with them on my HL8 which arrived a few items short including the M3 motherboard screws.
