looking at buying an hl8, wondering if Flex ATX is the only supported form factor for a PSU?
Yep - it’s the only type that’s supported - unless you’re into modding a brand new HL8 case. 
I believe the largest wattage on a consumer flex that I’ve seen is 600W.
