Just got My HL8

Just got my HL8 today. Was Happy until I opened it, and heard screws rolling around. Would expect more for the price tag.

also after opening I cant seem to get one of the locking screws to lock

This might be something that 45HomeLab needs to address in a revision 2 of the HL4/8 systems. My HL8 also arrived with these 1/4" 4/40 screws coming loose. I took a picture of it and called it out my post below.

My HL8 Arrived!

Hey Everyone! I finally received my HL8 yesterday and I thought I’d offer first impressions and photos. I ordered just the chassis and backplane in white and blue. It arrived via FedEx Next Day service. There wasn’t a lot of packaging material in the box with the unit. Really just foam pieces fitted around all the corners. @Vikram-45HomeLabs is this feedback you could take back to the engineering or design team? Fix might be as simple as a little bit of blue Locktite on these screws. I think you’re going to find not just new units with these screws coming loose but also deployed units as time goes on.

There was another issue that I had that i didn’t mention in the original post. The power button also had come unclipped from the case(I didn’t take any photos of this). it was a simple fix to pop it back into the case, but that might also need a design change.
