HL-15 V2 question

Since they went to PWM in the version 2.0, did they eliminate the old fan connectors? or they still in there but capped?

If eliminated was it from the midplane? or the chassis harness? I plan on doing a fan conversion on mine with a fan hub but but with high performance fans instead of low performance/noise Noctuas. I’d rather not tape the current fan leads up if there is a simple replacement part.

I don’t think there were any changes to the power distribution board. They may have a redesign of the PDB pending, but old stock still to use up.

Ya that does look like the fan wires the 2 wire spiral. Maybe i will just unsolder the fan wires

Mine just arrived and the fan connectors are neatly bundled in the corner. They come off the PDB as it powers the backplane. The harness may change in the future with enough PWM connectors now on the motherboard.

Ya looks like its out of the plug where i circled red, so I just need to depin those wires from that plug i guess to remove, thanks. I just had to get my HL-15 running ASAP so i never had time to tear it apart to modify, might be soon though, have a list of must do mods.
