Half Height PCIe Card on HL15

I’ve seen a few posts on the SuperMicro AOC-SLG3-2M2, but I couldn’t find anyone posting about how the PCIe card doesn’t seem to fit in the HL15 even though 45drives sells it as an accessory. Hopefully I’m missing something and would love to know the answer. Thanks

Where did you buy the card? Almost all low profile cards will come from the manufacturer with a full-height bracket that can be swapped with the low profile one with a couple of screws. See the pictures in this listing for an example;

If you bought it from 45HL, send a note to info@45homelab.com and they should get you a full height bracket if one wasn’t included.

Looking here, AOC-SLG3-2M2 | Add-on Cards | Accessories | Products - Super Micro Computer, Inc., it looks like it only comes in low profile. Are the screws standard or do I need to buy a specific full height bracket that fits the screw hole spacing?

Here is a video (don’t watch the whole thing, just 2 timestamps follow for reference);

At about 1:46 he does a quick unboxing. At about 5:48 he changes out the low profile bracket for the full height one also included in the product as shipped from the manufacturer. Explicitly listing both brackets isn’t always something done in the marketing materials.

To my knowledge there are no standard screw locations or generic brackets. If you purchase a card second hand and the bracket you need isn’t included, you can often get a replacement bracket off of eBay by searching your card model and “bracket”, for example;

awesome, thanks for the info! I also found that listing from ebay and will be purchasing it. Thanks again!
