I’m excited to join the 45HomeLab community! I’ve been exploring the world of homelabs and recently came across the HL15, which has piqued my interest due to its robust design and flexibility.

A bit about me: I’m passionate about technology and enjoy tinkering with hardware and software in my spare time. I’m currently planning to set up a home server that can handle tasks like media streaming, file storage, and perhaps some virtualization experiments.

I’ve read through some insightful discussions here, like the HL15 High Resolution Images - My First Impression thread, which provided a great overview of the chassis’s build quality and user experiences. It’s clear that this community is knowledgeable and supportive, and I’m looking forward to learning from all of you.

If anyone has recommendations for getting started with the HL15 or best practices for setting up a homelab, I’d greatly appreciate your insights.

Welcome! We are super glad that you are interested in an HL15. There are tons of helpful people in the community which have done a plethora of things with their builds. I am sure that there is someone who has done exactly what you want! For best practices it all kind of depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. There are lots of people who have set up plex/jellyfin servers for their streaming needs so I am sure you will find lots of documentation and personal experience from the users here!
