Factory Defaults for HL Products?

I’ve been wondering this for a while but after seeing some BIOS related posts I thought I would pose the question: What are the Factory Default settings for 45HomeLab “Full Build” product lines? Can we get documentation published on this for anyone who needs to factory reset their unti?

I’m pretty confident that the motherboard manufacturer BIOS defaults are not what’s shipping with these units. For example, on the HL15, the hot swap and staggered spin-up features for the onboard SAS and SATA ports is disabled by default according to the Supermicro documentation. It’s been over two years since I bought my HL15, but I do think those settings were enabled when I received my unit.

@Vikram-45HomeLab is it possible for you to bring this post to someones attention who can help answer and/or document this?

Good post @rymandle05.

It would be good for the team at 45Homelab be a little more transparent with what is part a default build, motherboard settings, etc

Hopefully it is a simple script that is used which could be published.

Love this idea. I’d assume they already have it documented for their builders too.

I have been speaking to our team, and we do not do anything with the BIOS that is preinstalled by the manufacturer. so we do not have anything for you as of now, but if I come across any information, I will let the forum know.
