Build of the Month: Show Us What You've Built, Win a T-Shirt & Get Featured on YouTube!

"Hey everyone,

I’ll be honest; one of my favourite parts of this job is seeing what you all build. Every time someone shares a photo of their setup, I genuinely stop and look. You pour real time, money, and creativity into these things and I don’t think that gets celebrated enough.

So we’re changing that.

Every month, post your homelab setup right here in this thread. HL15, Beast, X15, something completely custom; whatever you’re running. Big or small, rack or desk, brand new or held together with zip ties and hope. We want to see all of it.

Here’s the deal:

Everyone who enters gets a free 45HomeLab t-shirt. No catches, no minimum spend, no hoops to jump through. You share your build, you get a shirt.

And once a month, our team will pick one build to be featured on the 45HomeLab YouTube channel. Your setup, your story, told to our whole community.

How it works:
Drop your photos and a bit of your story right here in this thread
Send an email to info@45homelab.com with your name, your forum username, and your shipping address, phone number & email, that’s how we track entries and get your shirt out to you, so please don’t skip this step!

That’s it. Seriously.

I’m not looking for the flashiest build or the biggest budget. I’m looking for the build that makes me lean forward in my chair. The one with a great story behind it. The one that makes someone else think - I want to do that.

*Drop yours below. I can’t wait to see what you’ve built. *

Hey all,

I have my HL15 Beast with below specs:

  • Asrock Rack ROME2D16-2T Motherboard With 2x AMD EPYC 7742 CPU 64 Cores CPU both using a Dynatron A39 CPU Cooler
  • 16 X 64gb ram
  • 15 x 28tb SEAGATE EXOS HDD
  • 6 x 8tb NVME pcie 4 ssds, four of which are in a Silverstone ECM40 pcie card
  • 6 x 8tb sata SSD’s
  • Asus TUF 3090
  • Corsair HX1500i
  • 6 Chromax A14 pwm case fans (looking to upgrade cooling)
  • LSI 9400-16i HBA
  • Intel dual port 25gb SFP card

Currently running Proxmox VE with an assortment of VM’s to achieve different tasks. TrueNas Scale VM is acting as my storage manager with the HBA card and Silverstone pcie NVME drives passed through. Using ZFS in TrueNas I have about 305TB useable storage from the spinning rust.

Image to follow when I am no longer a new user.
