The email signup says it will be announced Summer of 2026. Summer will be officially over in two days if Im not mistaken. Can we get a sneak peek here? ---

Hey! You’ve got great attention to detail! As we put the final touches on everything, we realized we needed just a little extra time to make sure the design is absolute perfection and works flawlessly. We promise it will be well worth the wait! I just want to know if will be a whole new device/form factor or if it’ll just be a HL4 with different internals and a coat of paint… ---

Without giving too much away, the X4 is a completely new design and is unlike anything else we currently offer. ---

This looks like a huge improvement over the HL4 for thermals, and use of proper sized fan., Unfortunately Still not a rack solution. ---

I just want to know about the DIY experience. I’m about ready to buy an HL4 chasis, but the X4 looks better in just about every way, at the expense of being a little bigger. Is the X4 chasis completely tool-less? Are all the parts captive? Is there still a hinging mechanism? What’s the cooler clearance? I can’t fully tell from the images on the announcement page, but at least I can see that there seems to be ample access to the motherboard one way or another. ---

I don’t know if the X4 case will be offered in the store as a chassis-only. Based on current naming it may be a full build only. I haven’t seen anything about an HL4 V2 to be released alongside the X4. ---

Thats a great point. I didn’t even consider that there might not be a chasis-only option. That would kind of be a bummer, since I have a fully working mini itx set up already. ---

Now that the X4 has been released, I cannot wait to see the X8. Will there be plans to offer the case only? I love the design of the X4, if the X8 will be anything like it I definitely want to transfer everything over from my HL8 to an X8 case.
