Definitely let us know what you hear back. I did my own custom HL8 build a while back as I wanted both ECC and BMC features. It’s my offsite TrueNAS Backup and runs the latest version of TrueNAS just fine. I was hoping the 45HomeLab team would consider shamelessly copying the build but doesn’t look like it. You could use it as a starting point though. It’s the “Pro Max” configuration that I went with.
